Now, I've upgraded my 2010 VAIO from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Professional for free.
The free upgrade period ended in Japan on December 31, 2017, but we were able to upgrade using the updater that was downloaded in advance.
Date: January 17, 2018
Time: about 4 hours
Since the system requirements for Windows 7 and Windows 10 are almost the same, there is no difference in the behavior of VAIO after upgrading Windows 10.
Since I upgraded it for verification purposes, I intended to revert it immediately, but since it works comfortably, I will use it for a while.
It takes a lot of time to upgrade a low spec machine to Windows 10, so let's work with plenty of time.
Upgrade process
I upgraded using the Windows10Upgrade24074.exe I got in advance.Windows10Upgrade24074.exe is a free updater provided by Microsoft, but "Windows 10 upgrade for customers using assistive technology" in Japan ended on December 31, 2017, so it is no longer available. I will.
