Google は2018年10月1日に Pixel / Nexus を対象としたAndroidセキュリティパッチをリリースしました。

連動して2018年10月1日、
Essential Products は Essential Phone PH-1 向けのセキュリティパッチをリリースしました。

今回のリリースは Android 9 Pie になって早くも3回目です。

ひとつ前のバージョン Android 9 Pie Release 2 はPH-1に配信されなかったので公式サイトから更新ファイルを入手してアップデートしましたが、今回の Release 3 はPH-1に配信されました。

私の端末は、2018年10月3日にインストール可能になりました。
更新サイズ：264.3MB

更新サイズが264.3MBあるので、前回同様Sideload方式でアップデートしようかと悩みましたが、PH-1本体からアップデートするのを体験したかったので、端末からアップデートしました。

Wi-Fi経由ですべての工程が完了するまで約20分でした。
