トランプ大統領は、ポンペオ国務長官の訪朝を取りやめる決定をしました。

2018年6月12日の米朝会談において北朝鮮と合意した（と言われている）核廃棄合意について、２か月経過しても北朝鮮側のアクションが見えないことが理由だそうです。

中国が日本にすり寄ってきているのは、Twitterでも触れられているように、トランプ対習近平の経済戦争が深刻な状態になっていることが背景にあると思います。
